Grauburgunder is a white grape variety grown in Germany. It is more commonly known by its French term Pinot Gris, or in Italian as Pinot Grigio. It is capable of producing a range of different wine styles, from light and fruity to more full bodied and smoky.
About
#### Where does it grow? Grauburgunder is planted throughout Germany, particularly in the regions of Pfalz and Baden. Here the warmer summers help ripen the variety and create fuller, fruitier wines. It is also found in the Mosel Valley despite the long standing focus on Riesling.
