Quality tag group
The Sauternes & Barsac Classification was created for sweet wines in 1855, as part of the famous classification of the left bank's red wine estates. Across the three tiers of classification, there are 27 estates that hold Cru Classé status. Château d'Yquem is the only property with Premier Cru Supérieur status.
