Altenasso is a small MGA in the commune of Verduno, located on the northern edge of the Barolo zone. Its gentle slopes and marl-limestone soils contribute to wines with lifted aromatics, fine tannins, and a restrained, elegant structure. Though rarely bottled on its own, it reflects the lighter, more graceful profile typical of the Verduno area.
