Berri is an outlying MGA located in the far western corner of the Barolo zone, within the commune of La Morra and overlooking the Tanaro River. Its soils are sandier and less compact than those found in the central parts of the appellation, and the elevation is relatively low. As a result, Berri produces softer, earlier-drinking wines with delicate red fruit, gentle tannins, and a light, fragrant character, offering a more approachable and accessible side of Barolo.
