Bussia is one of the largest and most historically significant MGAs in the Barolo zone, located in the commune of Monforte d’Alba and encompassing a wide range of altitudes, exposures, and subzones. Its soils are primarily compact clay and limestone, producing structured, full-bodied wines with dark fruit, firm tannins, and notable depth. Bussia is known for its ageworthy style and has long been associated with some of the appellation’s most respected traditional producers, offering both power and complexity across its varied landscape.
