Cerequio is one of Barolo’s most celebrated MGAs, straddling the communes of La Morra and Barolo itself. Sheltered from harsh winds and exposed to generous afternoon sun, its amphitheatre-shaped slopes of calcareous marl produce wines of remarkable precision, combining the perfume and finesse typical of La Morra with the depth and longevity more associated with Barolo’s southern vineyards.
