Gustava

Gustava is a small and historically significant MGA in the commune of Grinzane Cavour, positioned on gently sloping hills near the famed castle once owned by Camillo Benso, Count of Cavour. The soils are predominantly marl and clay-limestone, with exposures that favour balanced ripening. Wines from Gustava tend to be soft and approachable, with red fruit, floral notes, and moderate structure, offering an accessible and charming expression of Barolo from one of the zone’s less-travelled corners.
