Kanzlerberg is the smallest of Alsace’s Grand Cru vineyards, located just above the town of Bergheim on a gentle southeast-facing slope. Its unique soils, composed of grey marl with gypsum and limestone, contribute to structured, age-worthy wines, particularly Riesling, with firm acidity and a pronounced mineral core. Kanzlerberg wines are often subtle and slow to develop, rewarding patience with layered complexity and refined precision.
