Ownership & People
Founded by Jacques de Liedekerke in 2007, Tenuta Licinia is now managed by his grandson, James Marshall, who became the winemaker in 2020. Marshall, previously engaged in doctoral studies at Oxford University, focuses on the interaction between subsoil and vine. The team includes cellar manager Andrea Bordacchini, vineyard manager Luciano Starnini, and director of sales Laura Bacci.

History
History: In the 1970s, Jacques de Liedekerke identified the potential of the Sasso di Fata vineyard and, after three decades of preparation, replanted it in 2006. Following his passing, his grandson James Marshall assumed leadership in 2020, continuing the mission to restore historic vineyards in Tuscany.

Situated near the medieval village of Lucignano, on the border between the provinces of Siena and Arezzo, Tenuta Licinia encompasses 60 hectares of forest and 6.5 hectares of vineyards. The region's geology features diverse terroirs, with the winery focusing on specific subsoils to produce distinctive wines.
